SUMMER IN MAINE: PART II

Ben had a fabulous time playing with Grammy JuJu and Papa Jimbo during our visit. I don't think anyone wanted to part ways in Boston today on the last stop before our trip back West... They went on a special outing to the Narrow-Gauge Train and Museum while Mommy worked. They hit up the playground and Portland Headlight, followed by a Becky's diner stop for coconut cream pie, while Mommy worked (are you seeing a theme here... wasn't the best timing to be away for me, but Benny got a lot of great time with Grammy and Papa, which was a real treat for all). Benny helped Papa clean up debris from remnants of Hurricane Bob off the NE coast...Speaking of the hurricane- locals love to hit the swell and surf before/during/after the storm. I caught this shot down the street from our house.
Ben and Grammy baked some treats for my 15th High School Reunion (more on that later).Built sand castles at the beach and played in the ocean (pretty warm, actually- thank you hurricane weather!).
Relaxed and read...We got in a couple of trips to my parents boat club, and enjoyed a quick spin on the boat. Ben was a great kid and enjoyed hanging with the loyal club crew while we cooked up lobsters and corn, enojyed a bottle of wine and played pool. We hit up the Children's Museum on a rainy afternoon- along with the rest of the town of Portland, Maine. It was packed!!
Played in the garden, ran, and giggled a lot.
I love you Grammy JuJu and Papa Jimbo- thanks for a really fun visit.
