As those of you with young ones know well, when it comes to birthdays, you have "multiple" cake celebrations!! Yep- this guy could sing Happy Birthday at each meal all week long, as long as it's followed by a big cake blowout. Here are a few shots from the remainder of Daddy's birthday and Benny's first day at "sort of" preschool.
After demanding that we wear "silly hats" (wait, whose birthday is it, anyway!?) Ben was ready to blow out the candles, again, and again, and again... 
Ben was adamant about getting Daddy a "telephone" for his birthday, so here he and Daddy are playing with his slick new iPhone. Well, maybe it's not quite an iPhone- but a fabulous homemade yellow ringer!

I was admittedly a moron and didn't bring my camera to capture Ben's first day at his new school. You know, the quintissential shot with your hands on hips, belly stuck out, backpack on, proud as can be, photo!? So, I grabbed a few when I picked him up after a great first day. He reportedly played well with new friends, held hands to walk to the playground, enjoyed snacktime with the group, played with clay and ran through the sprinkles, didn't shed a tear (not even one tear for Mommy?), and said goodbye and thank-um to Ms. Rita and Ms. Carolyn when we left. It was really cute- he loved it! Way to go, buddy!
After a big first day of sort-of preschool, 98 degree heat, and excitement building up to Daddy's birthday, this guy needed a nap! After a 3-hour stint he awoke, refreshed, grinning ear-to-ear, and ready for round II celebrations.

And what a lot of wonderful celebrations! Preschool?!? WOW! He's such a big boy!!
