HODGEPODGE...

Well.... I had my first night away from the boy this past weekend. I had a 2-day Leadership Immersion seminar in Portland for my MBA program Friday and Saturday. Benny and Kyle were unable to join me, so I got up for Ben's 3am feeding Friday and hit the road at 4am!! After 2 long days of class, I returned home for Benny's bedtime Saturday night. A quick trip, but I was able to squeeze in a night of much needed sleep Friday evening, and Ben got to spend quality time with his Daddy, Grammy, and Grumpy. Mom and Ben handled the mini separation very well.. it was good for both of us :)

I came home the other day to find Ben and Trish's little boy, Weston, cooing at each other and Ben reaching for Weston's hands. Lately it has been really fun to watch Ben's evolving interest in playing with other children.

Grampy Jimbo... here's the money shot- Ben in his new Red Sox hat! Daddy has officially offered up the Red Sox in trade for Ben being a Seahawks fan (painful as that road may be :) I would opt to let the boy select his team of choice (be it, the Steelers, Hawks, Patriots, etc.) after taking in a few Sunday game watching his Dad's pain over the foibles and folly's of the Seahawks. Grampy Jimbo- we'll be thinking of you all day on Wednesday. I am confident that everything will go really well and you will soon get this behind you and be on the road to recovery. We love you!
