This past weekend Big Ben ventured out on his first trip beyond the Oregon state border... to Las Vegas, Nevada for his Grammy Jackie's 60th Birthday celebration.Ben was an absolute gem and didn't say a peep on his first flight (to and fro), and loved meeting all of the Schmoll family relatives and friends and finally getting to meet his Auntie Skylar and Uncle Matt. He was passed around like a hot potato for snuggling and took it like a champ- he loved it. His immune system was definitely boosted this weekend- he's a resilient little man now.
We kind of blew it with the photography (sorry Auntie Jess!) and neglected to take any "true Vegas pics"... you know the ones with the "showgirls", "pulling the slot machine", "with Elvis", etc. We do have some nice shots from Grammy's parties and will post shots from his first flight later on (waiting on delivery from Uncle Paul's camera).
Ben, Mommy, and Daddy all had a great time and owe a BIG thank you to Grammy Jackie and Grumpy for hosting such a festive party in Vegas! Ben did get "kicked out" of the Bellagio for attempting to play Video Poker- damn, and he was on the verge of hitting the one! Better luck next time, Benny- in 21 years!
