A very special birthday post in honor of our Daddy...
Here is our Daddy, doing what he loves... tearing down the mountain on his bike (
though this is his "old" bike- he has since upgraded to an even fancier one and added more to his quiver! This boy likes bikes!).
Here he is again (
with his shirt on!) with Mommy during our summer trip to Montana last year. The prior shot was actually during our big Oregon Super Downhill race series last summer. That joker raced in "costume" for 2 of 4 races and landed 3rd on the podium overall for the series. What a stud!
He's a great friend (here, with fellow birthday buddy, Lev) and...
Keeps us all laughing, all of the time.
He's always teaching us new things and,
Helping us to grow and learn.
Encouraging ALL of us along the way (
Note: Here's Mommy at her first mountain bike race last summer with the best pit crew in town. She came in 4th- pretty exciting and loads of fun!)
He pushes us to practice and improve in many ways,
Knowing that once we do...
We will have loads of fun together and,
Be so very proud of ourselves!
He also certainly knows when to kick back and relax, (a luxurious afternoon napping session in the Ochocho Mountains- Sam's first camping trip was a success).
Pulling from his Aloha upbringing and enjoying the beauty around him.
He truly seeks and savors the simplest pleasures in life- we love that about you, Daddy.
He's a wonderful son...
